Teenagers and husband are home - so am I! Huge drifts against the windows and doors and the snow is still coming. The shovel broke in half this morning and I am in my pajamas surrounded by cookbooks. Bread is rising, cookies are planned. Apple cider porkchops and sauteed cabbage schedulled for dinner. Maybe a soup for lunch. My house is warm. My family is safe. A good day! What are you cooking, today?

I prepared a large pot of slow cooker chili, yesterday, in preparation for the snow days. Got my grated cheese, sour cream and green onion toppings. Got wine.

All is well.

I totally blew this. In my rush to get home yesterday, I grabbed a file (like I'm going to actually look at it now) but failed to plan for the snow day meal.

Oh well, it's Wednesday, Prince Spaghetti Day. Either that or I raid the freezer.

At least we have good beer & wine, and a bunch of good movies, so we'll survive.

Ice Day meal was rotisserie chicken, brilliantly purchased on Monday with Tuesday's Snow Day meal.
